The pub was sold at auction in February 2018, but it is unknown what the new owners intend to do. It is likely that the pub will be converted into housing, but this can not be confirmed at present.

Planning application ref number 19/01092/FUL, dated 5/7/19 and a further one, ref number 20/00872/FUL dated 22/6/20 were conditionally granted, permitting change of use to House of Multi Occupancy (HMO). Pub record closed 15/9/21.
