Comfortable sofas, quirky décor and relaxed ambience make The Regent a welcoming and comfortable LGBT+ space, though very much "straight-friendly" as well.

In addition to three cask ales and a cask cider (usually does not meet CAMRA's #NotFromConcentrate criteria) there is a large range of local and international lagers, ales and ciders available from 14 taps along with wine, spirits, coffees, teas and soft drinks.

A huge range of background music is played; you may hear The Beatles, Frank Zappa, Abba or Dvorak. Music levels are kept low so that people can chat easily with friends.

Young people under 18 years old and dogs are not allowed.
