Shakespeares is one of Edinburgh’s oldest pubs and was built at the same time as the Theatres, it boasts a comfortable spacious lounge-like bar with high ceilings. The seating comprises of well upholstered chairs and banquettes, five screens are spread throughout showing sporting events. It is very handy for local venues including Usher Hall, Traverse Theatre, Royal Lyceum and the Filmhouse.
