Traditionally styled village local on main road through village. Open plan in design, the bar serves two distinct drinking areas, one also used for dining. Evening meals available Tuesday - Saturday and a renowned carvery on Sunday. Guest beers from the northeast region are a feature. A large orchard to the rear is set out with tables for outdoor drinking in summer. Accommodation is available in four lodges at the back of the pub and in three rooms in the pub.
