Half-timbered village pub dating to late 16th century with later extensions. A recent refurbishment exposed more of the frame of the building creating a bright and cheerful interior. The pub is food-led, using locally sourced ingredients where possible, with meals served all day. Not all tables in the bar are bookable and there is no pressure to eat.

There is a quiz on the last Thursday of each month, occasional barbecue nights and Six Nations rugby is shown.

Buses stop outside, including evening and Sunday services from Cranleigh and Guildford.

A venerable half-timbered building in the village centre, said to date back to 1590
