Claiming to be Britain's most photographed pub, this Purbeck stone building is a former coaching inn dating from 1580. The interior has a contemporary feel with flagstone floors and smaller rooms at the back. The garden sits beneath Corfe Castle with views of Swanage Steam Railway. Regular live music, quality food, beer festivals and cider in boxes ensure that most tastes are catered for. Guest ales tend to be from south west breweries, with Bath Ales and Yeovil the regulars.

Opening times are from the pub's website March 2025 but they are subject to change and it has been reported that they are normally closed on Mondays. Please call the pub for confirmation.

17th century, altered in 18th century. Grade II Listed. Historic England list entry 1323070.
