This imposing community local, close to the bus depot, was acquired by Kevin Winfield, a Midlands based investor, in January 2016 after being operated for ten years by local multiple operator, Your Friendly Local Limited. The existing management, couple Pauline and Ricky, offer "business as usual" as they continue their management tenure under the new owners. Very much a drinkers pub, it is one of only two pubs remaining in an area that once boasted many.
