Under new management since October 2025. Conveniently situated for both the Three Peaks and Pennine Way, this bright and welcoming small multi-roomed inn has accommodation available. The new tenants are still experimenting with opening and food hours, but the pub has been open reliably from 1pm since they took over. The letting rooms are being refurbished over winter 2025/6, some had already been done in November. A garden to the rear offers good views of the surrounding fells. Meals may be available outside the core hours depending on staff availability - just ask. The third pump is not normally used, but Old Peculiar may be available occasionally e.g. for Christmas.
