Situated close to the southern tip of Chesil Beach the Cove House offers excellent sea views from its outdoor promenade terraced seating area. In recent years it has become very food orientated (advance booking is strongly recommended) although drinkers are still welcome. Popular with divers and sailors especially at weekends. Sit outside if the weather is kind or, if not, by the fire watching the storms hit the beach - the shutters on the lower windows are not purely decorative. Three cask ales are usually available, at least one of which is likely to be from a local brewery. Summer hours are detailed here - opening times more restricted in winter.
