This is a club, which means that the bar may be only open to members.

Thriving club with a bowling green, indoor bowls during the winter months, snooker tables and a pool table. Crib, dominos, darts and regular live entertainments involve the local community.

There are two bars and a function room for events and special occasions.

Serving members of the Forces are offered free membership.

Historic Interest

In May 1918 the club joined the federation of clubs centred in Birmingham, and later that year, after finding out the premises was going to be sold, acquired the derelict premises of TurnockÂ’s in Bees Lane, DavenportÂ’s were again approached and agreed to help, the decision to purchase the site was taken on 14th February 1919, and under the guidance of Mr. W. Rogers, the architects work commenced, then finally on 16th March 1921 the Bees Lane Club was officially opened, and joined the Club and Institute Union (CIU) in the same year. The Bees Lane Club eventually closing in early 1980Â’s.

In 1950 with growing membership, the Mansefield House site was purchased and was opened to members in November 1951.
