Lovely old building with a rambling feel about the main drinking areas, with unusual seating, including armchairs next to the large open fire. There are lots of exposed beams and brickwork, and stone flooring. For entertainment, there is an assortment of board games available. An AA 2 rosettes restaurant occupies another large part of the building, where food is served 12.30-2, 6-9.45 daily; there is also a range of bar food which is available 12.30-9.30 daily.
