  • Community Run

Community run since 2009 using volunteers this delightful old pub is still going from strength to strength with all profits generated being used to benefit the community. There is a friendly and inviting ambience from the moment you enter. The bar serves two discreet carpeted areas and a tiled area to one side. Refurbished in 2013. There are three self-catering bedrooms. The three guest beers served are from local breweries. Excellent locally sourced home cooked food served Thursday to Saturday. (telephone reservations recommended.) There is a pleasant area outside the front of the pub providing extra seating.

Community Run

The Raven Inn pub closed in 2009 and was destined for conversion into housing estate when it failed to reach its reserve price at auction. The local community decided to lease and run the pub with the help of the TV programme “Save our Boozer”.

A private limited company, Raven Mad Limited, was registered to run the pub. The Raven Inn is now staffed entirely by volunteers and any profit must be used to fund village community projects.

They pride themselves in serving as much local produce as possible and one of their three real ales is always brewed by Cwrw Iâl which is made just up the road by their sister community company.
