11/09/2024: 23/3260D "Discharge of conditions 4, 15 and part 21 on approved application 21/4382N: Demolition of existing buildings and erection of a residential development (Use Class C3) alongside a care home (Use Class C2) with associated access, parking, landscaping and infrastructure".

Due for demolition and replacement by housing (November 2022). Demolition finished May 2023. Plans now submitted By Seddon Home for housing and a care home.

In 2015 we said: Fairly modern pub and hotel built on the site of Sydney House. Acquired by present owners in 1981. Open plan.

Historic Interest

Was involve in gunrunning activities etc in 1970's. See CIA files.
