a comfortable local, built 1908 as local post office- pub originally on what's now car park, acquired by Tetleys 1929 when their old Wheel (named after local pottery industry) was subsequently converted back to a house
Note that Tetley's signmaker didn't know about the pottery connection!
Now re-opened after works.
