A grade II listed pub located between the town centre and the railway station. This friendly pub has the words "Traditional Pub Alternative Values" on the pub sign.

There is a courtyard garden to the rear with picnic tables and a function room which hosts live bands 3 or 4 evenings per week. Pub sports are a feature here.

Four real ales on offer which are mainly sourced from local breweries.
