ituated in a picturesque village, the pub overlooks marshes near the River Waveney and attracts river users, railway travellers and ramblers walking the Angles Way and those visiting nearby Somerleyton Hall and its yew hedge maze. The pub interior comprises a public bar, lounge and restaurant serving quality local produce. A converted barn in the grounds is used by local musicians and hosts events in the summer as well as being available for private hire.

Historic Interest

A report in the Ipswich Journal on 21 Jul 1860 states that: Benjamin Horn, since absconded, was charged by Mr John ROLL, of the Duke's Head Inn, Somerleyton, with the use of profane language.
