Historic Interest

A report in the Ipswich Journal on Jan 16 1858 when James Bereton was the landlord states that: Two customers were caught throwing dice for small sums of money contrary to the terms of the licence. The landlord & lady were not present as they with a legal raffle for a pig & geese. Case dismissed. Re-opened under new ownership in April 2016. Photographs of this pub and more historical information about it can be found at suffolk.camra.org.uk/pub/643
