Friendly and welcoming 18th-century former coaching inn with a wood fire. Upon entry, a small cosy bar to the left and to the right a larger seating area. Four ever-changing cask ales on hand pump are available Friday to Sunday but always at least three are on during the week. Beers are varied from local and regional brewers. Freshly cooked meals are on offer Tuesday to Saturday and traditional roasts on a Sunday lunchtime. Advanced booking advisable. An in-house cask ale members' club has been established with regular brewery visits and brewers' speaker/taster events.
