Cosy old-fashioned local within walking distance of the Coventry canal (bridge 80). Dating from 1834, the pub features a wealth of wooden beams and open fires in winter. The central island bar serves a small room to the front and a larger area to the rear, with a dining room to one side. There's small beer terrace to the front and large rear garden now supplemented by an outside bar. There's also a large children's play area with bouncy castle. The guest ale is usually from one of the bigger players. A hot food menu is served Monday to Saturday and a carvery on Sunday.
