This town centre pub has been refurbished (2018) to provide a modern and bright horseshoe-shaped bar area. With a good mix of customers - locals, students and tourists - it is a friendly and fun pub and is decorated in the same fashion. It shows most live sports events and has live music every Friday night. It also offers bed and breakfast, evening basket meals Monday-Saturday, Sunday lunch and a function room. The pub plays host to a number of local sport teams.
