Traditional pub overlooking the village green. With a guiding philosophy of "good beer, good music" this village local goes from strength to strength. The small, cosy lounge is dominated by a huge fireplace surrounded by beer bottles and rustic bric-a-brac. The simply appointed public bar with its woodblock floor is always lively. Behind the bar is a small meeting room and upstairs a function room which hosts gigs. Seating in front, in the side smoking area and in the sun trap rear garden. Beer and music festival over the early May bank holiday weekend. The list of changing guest beers is interesting, including local beers and often a dark beer.

Helen, licensee of 17 years, stood down in September 2025. Following redecoration, the pub reopened on 4 October.
