Situated on the village's northern edge, this pub really does have bees in one wall and has had since 1950. Guitars, breweriana and local photos decorate the public bar which oozes atmosphere, especially with the fire blazing, and tends to be where the locals gather. The lounge opens onto a patio, huge paddock-style garden and the pub's own wood. An Adnam's and two guest beers normally stocked. The pub may stay open all day during the summer. As well as the folk club, customers may also play unamplified music at times. In 2021 the licensee marked his 40th year at the pub and he's still there now.
