Historic Interest
It stands mainly on the site of a tannery dating back to the 1700s. In 1919 it was known as the Comrades Club as it was formed by ex-servicemen after the first World War, and then a British Legion for a few years until the name changed to The Circle Club in 1926. Parts of building date back 300 years.
