This Pub is Temporarily Closed

CLOSED: Due to reopen in early October 2025 by Carl McCluskey of Chancellor's pub Hammersmith, and Crisp Pizza fame. It is understood he has support from the team behind The Devonshire in Soho – publican Oisín Rogers, Flat Iron founder Charlie Carroll and Ashley Palmer-Watts, former executive chef of The Fat Duck. Cask ales will be amongst the drinks offering and the Devonshire's bespoke Guinness installation will be replicated. The pizzeria is downstairs in a "cool, inviting speakeasy environment". Name to change to just Marlborough.

Imposing terracotta and red brick edifice rebuilt in 1892 and designed by Thomas Verity. The interior has a dark and medieval gothic theme with contemporary bric-a-brac. Named after John Churchill, who was created Duke of Marlborough after his victory at the battle of Blenheim. First licensed in 1758.
