Attractive and friendly weatherboarded building perched on a hilly corner in a quiet hamlet, though accessible by a nearby bus route. The central log fire adds to the homely atmosphere within. The home prepared food (not served Tuesday lunchtime) feature pizzas prominently. Formerly a King & Barnes then Hall and Woodhouse pub it is now in private ownership serving Kent and Sussex beers along with Timothy Taylor Landlord and cider from Turners. Additional seating is available in the attractive rear terraced garden and patio, complete with a children's play area.

There is a slight ramp up to the threshold of the front door entrance and then a step free interior, other than two steps up to the rear alcove. Level access to the indoor ladies toilet. A steep-ish slope leads down towards the outdoor gents toilet then one step up to the toilets themselves. Alternatively from the pub side door there are seven steps down (with a handrail) towards the gents. There is no fully accessible toilet.
