This is a club, which means that the bar may only be open to club members.

Comfortably furnished private club allowing access to CAMRA members.

CAMRA National Club of the Year 2024, the club contains a bar area, quiet lounge and sports lounge with pool table and dart board. Snooker tables are upstairs. Six changing ales, usually including a mild are mainly sourced locally. The club has its own on-site micro brewery which often brews for the club and local beer festivals. Cobs are usually available on the bar.

A beer festival is held in November, some years mirrored by a light ale and cider festival in June.

The Firs Suite, a separate function area, is available to hire for weddings, etc.

Current Good Beer Guide owners and/or CAMRA members can be signed in.

A pedestrian exit through the beer garden onto Wood Road is handy for the bus stop.
