This pub is located on the main road and named after the old railway company which used the now abandoned nearby Thackley Line. It underwent extensive refurbishment and re-opened under new management in September 2019. It comprises a large lounge and smaller adjoining areas including a darts room. It has a modern, urban, rustic appearance with exposed stone and brick walls and wooden furnishings. There are six real ale taps and also ten keg taps offering an additional range of craft beers. Sports TV is frequently shown on the numerous screens throughout the pub. Real ales are offered at a reduced price on Wednesdays. There is a discount on the price of food on Thursdays.
