The keystone proclaims the date of the building to be 1739, but the interior had been subsequently knocked around in the course of various decades and became open-plan. It has now closed and planning permission was granted by City of Bradford MDC on 15 Mar 2021 for change of use of ground floor to retail (Class E) with two storey front extension, refit of existing upper floor flat to form two dwellings, reinstatement of rear outbuilding to form one dwelling and associated external works. When visited on 12 June 2021, work on the conversion appeared to have commenced.
