On the Ground Floor: Tap Room, Bar Room, Pantry, Sitting Room with bay window Entrance Hall, large Kitchen, Private Sitting Room & Cellar in basement. 2 Stables, Barn, Pin Shed, Piggery Cart Shed, Coal House, Workshop, Cart Shed with folding gates & Yard Let to Mr. B. Middleditch for about 5 years. In Feb/Mar 1981 edition of Last Orders**** it was reported that the Compasses had just been refurbished & reopened by GK after being "gutted by fire" & new handpumps had been installed.
