Friendly town-centre local with classic street-corner situation. The Greene King managed house has been fully refurbished with scrubbed floors and traditional furniture. It can be boisterous when live sports are shown on the many TV screens. Swift turnover on beer helps sustain the good quality. There is a large public car park behind Arts Centre opposite the pub.
