Community owned freehouse and former 17th century coaching inn on the eastern edge of Wincanton reopened in Nov 2025.

The pub closed in April 2024 and was subsequently put up for auction. In response, a team was formed and backed with a number of pledges from over 70 residents, secured at the auction. The Bayford Inn Benefit Society Limited (a Community Benefit Society) launched a share offer to provide funds to cover the cost of the ongoing refurbishment.
