Community run freehouse and former 17th century coaching inn on the eastern edge of Wincanton which reopened in Nov 2025, the pub being run by Bayford Inn Benefit Society.
The pub closed in April 2024 and was subsequently put up for auction. In response, a community group was formed, and the freehold of the pub was purchased at the auction by a member of the community group as an individual. The Bayford Inn Benefit Society Limited (a Community Benefit Society) has launched a share offer to provide funds to cover the cost of purchasing the freehold and the ongoing refurbishment.
