One of a family of three independently owned free houses, situated just off Holgate Road. The pub has a community feel while being close enough to the centre to be found by visitors. There's an excellent beer range for a suburban pub, with loyalties firmly with local breweries, emphasising the pub's commitment to LocAle. There are five permanent cask beers and two ever-changing guests plus good keg options and even a Yorkshire brewed lager. The much loved quiz is every Sunday night and there's a small enclosed beer yard.
