Pub closed in 2014 and converted to a pizza takeaway place in 2016

Comfortable pub just outside the city centre that specialises in steaks and sauces in the evenings, famous for hot sandwiches, pies etc at lunchtimes. Booking essential in the evenings. Country-style interior, 60's background music, old phones, radios & TVs, preserved 1950s bus. Four cask ales from the Robinsons range are available on the bar; try the Old Tom in the winter months. There is a conservatory area to the rear of the pub, and a car park at the back. PLEASE NOTE THAT A MEAL MUST BE PURCHASED IN ORDER TO DRINK; non-eating drinkers are not welcome.
