The only pub in Everton, it dates from 1852, and has a friendly atmosphere and appeals to a clientele of all ages. The entrance opens on to the public bar and there is a Sports' bar for pool etc. to the right of the entrance. Through the bar is a spacious dining room which is currently used for showing sport on TV or as an overspill from the public bar. The Greensand Ridge Walk runs next to the pub.
