Established in 1840, this large one bar pub lies on the edge of town, convenient for A1. Separate dining and drinking areas. Children restricted to dining area. No function room as such, but restaurant area can be made available for functions. The pub is bright and well decorated with a Mixed clientele and lively atmosphere. There are two electronic machines and a Cash machine (not free). Tuesday night quiz and coffee/cake deal popular during the day. 10% CAMRA discount on real ales.
