A picturesque 16th century village inn, owned and operated by nearby Iford Manor who also own the Cross Guns in Avoncliff and have an excellent reputation for food and events. Smart and comfortable, it is located on the bank of the river Frome, on the southern edge of the village. It has an excellent terraced garden to the side, and plenty of parking.

It is in the Cotswolds Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and is popular with cyclists, joggers, and walkers, being on the Two Valleys Walk.

Re-opened Dec 2025 in time for Christmas

Closed 13 Jan 2025 - Iford Manor announced that they would take over the pub and reopen in the summer of 2025.
