Open plan pub over two levels, the seating is a mix of high backed chairs around old Singer sewing machines and under heated wall seating. Yorkshire stone, wood and carpeted flooring makes for a warming feel. The ceiling in front of the bar is a map of historical Barnsley. Sports TV, pool and darts, live music, karaoke, and quiz nights.

This pub has been here with the same name since 1822. George Miller was licensee until 1837. The pub was refurbished in 2016.
