17th century inn re-opened in 2019 after refurbishment.Under new management since April 2025 and now also home to the Cross Brewery. This free house is said to be haunted by one of Hanging Judge Jefferys' victims. Large car park opposite. Inside, games bar on right with pool and darts. Door marked "Public" on the left leads to a more lounge type area. Terraced garden at the rear. This pub generally serves a good selection of cask ales and various keg beers and ciders. Food served from Weds - Sat, both lunchtimes and evenings. Stonebaked pizzas available Thurs evenings and Sunday roasts available if preordered.
