Prominently situated high on the hills above South Bristol, on the original carriers' road between Bath, Wells and Weymouth, the Carpenters reopened in early 2026 following an extensive refurbishment. Inside, the bar and dining areas have been thoughtfully redesigned to create a warm and welcoming country pub with cosy corners and an open fire, or enjoy the views from the garden and terrace. Local beers and cider are served and food is available all day. Accommodation consists of 14 boutique hotel rooms.
