A pub since 1821, with a small downstairs bar and upstairs lounge. The pub combines the feel of a cosy 'proper pub' and Belgian beer bar. Part of a Georgian terrace close to Clifton Suspension Bridge, the main entrance is at lower street level. Steep internal stairs lead to toilets, rear garden (Summer only) and more seating. Three Bristol Beer Factory cask ales, Fortitude is permanent with two changing. North Street cider (keg). Wide range of bottled Belgian beers stocked, plus 8 on tap, one changing. Roasts on Sunday afternoon. Quiz (upstairs lounge) every 1st and 3rd Thu Autumn-Winter. £5 min. limit on card. No children and no large groups.
