Situated in the Howe of the Mearns, this is a pleasant country venue mainly for dining, where good food is available made with local, fresh ingredients. Lunches are served 12-2pm and evening meals 5.30-8.30pm (9pm Sat). Booking is advisable. Beers may be from local Burnside Brewery and other Scottish breweries. The hotel is close to Angus Glens, Kirriemuir Camera Obscura and the Grassic Gibbon Centre. Stable Cottage is available for rent, sleeping up to four people. May close at 9pm if not busy.
