This Pub is Closed Long Term

The pub building itself is interesting being one of two single room bars more in the Scots/Irish tradition to be found in the town – the other is the Victoria Vaults. Located on a street corner near the Post Office in a 3 story block of Victorian house/shops it was once part of the original Wem Brewery(and previously Wrekin) portfolio whose signage existed till recently. Regrettably there is no real ale on offer and it is worth noting the pub is not in the local Behave or Be Banned scheme. Worth walking past to view the building. Reopened in May 2016 after an 8 month closure when it was briefly threatened with conversion to a cafe. **Closed again - September 2018**
